Such a great man could have never been more embarrassed of a daughter like Benazir Bhutto. She is the most shameless and selfish politician in Pakistan at the moment. The sad part is that she's always had an advantage of Pakistan People's Party due to the heroic credibility of his great father. But she never has done anything in the same direction as her father, who is much more appreciated and followed by rival political parties. PML(N) shares a vision similar to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Benazir on the other hand, has always looked upto foreign powers (US and allies) to bring her to power in Pakistan, for alone she cannot win over people.
Pakistan People's Party has one of the most intellectual and learned politicians in Pakistan who are dedicated to the Party just because they still believe that PPP is Zulfiqar Bhutto's brainchild, and has the same vision as him. Benazir is generally believed to be a cunning politician who always looks towards some foreign benefactors to help her gain power.
We have three party leaders in exile at the moment. MQM is rather a organization believing in spreading terror than influencing people with good so Altaf Hussain is mostly a loss for the country rather than being a leader of some positive influence. Imran Khan's requests over termination of asylum for Altaf Hussain nominating him as a terrorist are really appreciated and welcomed by Pakistanis. Nawaz and company has been forcefully deported by a really frightened and terrified Musharraf administration. Nawaz wanted to come to Pakistan and face the music and wished to participate in the elections just like any other candidate would have.
But Benazir on the other hand has gone to amazing lowlinesses by making deals of premiership with the dictator. it's shocking to see that the so-called political and democratic leader wants the people to have no part to play in her appointment and wants to be in power one way or the other. It could be through a dictator that she so disliked a couple of years back or through foreign powers that are already believed to have too much influence in the country psychologically, economically and even physically. The woman clearly has no ethics! On the one hand she believes and wants others to believe that she's fighting dictatorship and autocracy and on the other hand, she's doing nothing different by imposing her selfish regime over already depressed nation. She has no intention to participate in any elections, she only wants a 'deal' with the dictator to ensure that she's given power when she returns. As a part of the people I'm left utterly shocked! Don't the people get to play any part in deciding who rules them? Can a few people transfer power over everyone within themselves as they please! Do the people get a say in this matter at all?? I think if Benazir had her way, then probably people mean nothing, Power is everything!
A lot of people seem to forget that Benazir was not forcefully made to leave Pakistan, she chose life of exile on her own. Why would she do that? Well, it takes no above average ingenuity to see that Benazir and Zardari have only lived in Pakistan when they were in power. Other than such times Benazir has always fled from the country that she claims to have affiliations with! It's almost like she and her husband don't think that Pakistan is a livable country unless they have power. They even have major parts of their assets outside Pakistan probably because of a threat of a war or some other crises that is always knocking at Pakistan's door (again thanks to the lady). And yet, she claims to be a leader for the people. Nawaz family on the other hand have most of their assets in Pakistan - at least half of their assets are in the form of industry which, if nothing else, provides employment to thousands of people.
Now, we can see Benazir trying her best to convince International media and the West that she's the best leader for the country and she claims that she would put up a better fight against the terrorism threat than the current General. Her only motive is to make the West realize of her importance and help her gain Power, and she will fulfill her promises about everything.
Recently, Benazir's latest statement about Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan has left the government and opposition in devastation of equal magnitude! Pakistan has always taken pride in Abdul Qadeer for his selfless and devoted efforts in making Pakistan greater and allowing Pakistan to have a defense it can rely on. And now we can see the PPP leader promising the West access to Dr. Abdul Qadeer if they let her come in Power. Shameful!
Benazir serves only one purpose and one purpose alone. She wants Pakistan to suffer, and it just takes a few flips of history pages to realize that she has no interest in Pakistan or the Pakistani nation. Her only motive is to gather up wealth, build up assets outside Pakistan and then leave Pakistan when things are not pleasant anymore.
Pakistan People's Party is a political party with a great vision and a party that has had great leaders in the past and still has lots of influential thinkers and activists in the present times. But having Benazir as their leader, they are just destroying any good that their leaders worked to have and they're changing the face of the once people-oriented PPP to become a Benazir's selfish, wrongful and deranged toy to get power.
